Although I haven't finish posting about milan...

Bruno Pieters
I'm a huge Fan of Bruno Pieters, but this time I somehow didn't get it. I am really disappointed!!! I didn't like the cuts, the model's stylings... just a few pieces caught my eye. See the complete collection here. I simply loved his spring summer collection. Well let's see what pretty pretty will post about it.

Dsquared²
Great show but I still don't like dsquared², sorry. BUT, I loved the huge headphones and chanel's hair backstage (what does she do to them?) and the long thin legs everywhere (this bottomless looks somehow attract me)... See the whole collection here

Rick Owens
The boots are quite scary! And although I wouldn't wear a single combination like on runway some items would perfectly fit into my wardrobe. more...

documenta XII

| |

What's this year's documenta going to be about?
It's unquestionable that the documenta in Kassel (also province!), Germany is one of the most important events for contemporary art worldwide! Nevertheless the curator Roger M. Buergel doesn't see the necessity to tell us art hungry people what this years's documenta will show exactly. It's a bit like fashion week. Not until the very last second, when the first model appears in runway you'll know what it's all about.
Although so
me details are already known: Not more than 100 artist will be invited (see a short video about the firt press conference here (German!), among others the cook Ferran Adria (!?), the polish soundartist Artur Zmijewski, Britisch artist Imogen Stidworthy and brasilian artist Ricardo Basbaum. Via documenta12blog.de some more artit's names were announced: Gerwald Rockenschaub, Ines Doujak, Florian Pumhösl, Peter Friedel, James Coleman, Dmitri Gutov, Andrei Monastirsky, Anatoli Osmolowski, Alice Creischer, Andreas Siekmann, Christian von Borries...

The french architects Lacaton & Vassal are going to build a huge glasshous at the Karlsaue to center the exhibition (different from documenta XI where Okwui Enwezor spread the exhibition allover Kassel). Besides that the Fridericianum (as usual!) aswell as the documenta hall willbe used as exhibition spaces. The construction works at the Karlsaue can be viewed here. Niklas Maak wrote about it in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ - German!).

On monday the first issue of the documenta magazine Modernity? was released during a press conference at the Wiener Secession. Peter Richter wrote about it in the FAZ (German!). I've already placed my order here.

While searching the internet for information on documenta XII I found the documenta12blog which I highly recommend! There you'll find information directly from the source, pictures, podcasts, interviews, videos...

Chelsea? Berlin-Mitte? Karlsruhe!

| |

I was very pleased to read about Meyer Riegger Gallery, Karlsruhe in Die Zeit, a major weekly newspaper in Germany. Meyer Riegger is a gallery based in Karlsruhe (south of Germany) which is quite unusual for a successful and internationally known gallery in Germany. Most of the galleries are in Berlin or Duesseldorf (some in Cologne). Kalrsruhe doesn't exist in the artworld (they have quite good art- and designschools there, but only a few galleries. You go there to study but not for business!). So it's unusual that a gallery based in the province takes part in major art fairs and convinces collectors and curators to visit Karlsruhe. Actually Karlsruhe isn't that bad. They have the ZKM, Kunsthalle and many little exhibitions spaces and upcoming galleries like Iris Kadel. It's definitely worth a visit. Maybe on your way from Frankfurt Airport to Art Basel 07? The Art Karlsruhe is the next bigger occasion. I'm going to blog from there for regioartline by the way.

Lies den ganzen Artikel zu Meyer-Riegger hier (Sorry only in German. Pleas ask for translations!)

Moschino
Well I know that I'm a bit late with my fashion show reviews... I've bought a similar dress like the one shown on the left hand side. Mine is black and not that shiny...
I love the sleek hair style! I definitely need to go to the hair dresser soon for a new relaxer...
Overall I didn't like the complete collection that much!

Max Mara
I loved the boots Sasha wore backstage and a yellow coat is on my list for next winter! More Max Mara here.

Dolce & Gabbana

I simply don't like their idea of fashion! But I liked seeing Gisele on one of her rare runway appearances. Nevertheless I post four pictures on this topic ;-) I really had to smile when I saw Coco wearing this mask. It somehow suits her sm-porn-like appearance anyway (sorry!!!) Jessica is wearing a funny (!) shirt backstage and Maria Peres is wearing Balenciaga. See the complete collection here.

hamburg part 01

| |

After some quite exhausting hours in the car (Hamburg-Duesseldorf) and on train (Duesseldorf-Mannheim | my boyfriend had to stay in Duesseldorf) and lots of rain I arrived at home (after picking my dog up and having sushi for dinner with my friend the "dogsitter"). Many things have happend (I also received a postcard from Kasper König!!!!! But that's another story!)...

I'll start with the first day (moi wearing black leather ballet flats | black tights | grey Mango skirt with bags | black Mango turtleneck sweater | brown scarf | black Patrizia Pepe coat | silver ZARA bag):
After dropping our dog off at my friends house in Mannheim me and my boyfriend headed for Hamburg by car. The weather was getting worse the nearer we drove north... Luckily I packed my rubberboots which are a quite essential piece of clothes in Hamburg. We arrived there in the afternoon and had some coffee at a coffee bar near central train station. After that we went to see the Henning Wagenbreth exhibition at the heliumcowboy artspace. Maybe you've visited the gallery on scope art fair? See more pictures of the Hamburg exhibition here.

Next stop was the "Marktstraße" for Vintageshopping. There're plenty of shops and lots of cool stuff to buy. Unfortunately I wasn't lucky. I nearly found some boots, but too small to be honest... At the Marktstraße there's also the hinterconti an independent artspace with little exhibitions of upcoming artists. They had an opening last friday. Actually I wanted to go there but somehow overslept! Woa, I'm getting old!

part 02 coming soon!

Au revoir

23.02.2007 | |

on my way to bed now to be awake fresh and sober for my 5 hours car drive to hamburg tomorrow morning. I hope the internet in my boyfriend's brother's flat will work!?
Otherwise I'll be back on tuesday...

moi...

22.02.2007 | |

...soon on the road again. I'm currently planning my outfits and really enjoyed what I wore today. Casual and sporty: white converse | grey knitted slim pants with "ugly" pattern by H&M trend | black sweater (but not as thick as a sweater!) dress with huge bags by H&M trend | black woolen coat by Patrizia Pepe | silver huge handbag by ZARA and funny face...

25 artists to look out for in 2007

| |

The current issue (as digital version online avaible for free!!!) of ArtReview has David Lynch on its cover (ha ha I somehow didn't know how he looked like...) who - as a painter, photographer, filmmaker - talks about his upcoming show at Fondation Cartier.

Besides that they feature 25 young artist to look out for in 2007. Among those is Thomas Zipp whichs current exhibition at the galerie Krinzinger in Vienna I've seen and already wrote about .
Marcel Dzama is featured in "teddy bear or bear baiter?".

AND funny videos about how the artworld might turn (p.162).

Actually I tried to post more pictures, but somehow I didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. So please visit their page here.

Pollini
Personally I didn't like the Pollini collection at all (my opinion!) and didn't this coat remind you of a coat H&M had in their a/w collection? Just change the buttons and here you go!

Emporio Armani
I thought for a minute about whether to write something about this collection or not. As I've already mentioned before: I'm not an armani woman at all - and less then never an emporio armani friend! All those young nameless models running down the catwalk (wearing nothing special, interessting in particular, maybe the trompe l'oeil stockings?) reminded me very much of the article I wrote about earlier... NO NO NO. Please view the complete collection here.

Marni
when I first saw this I was a little bit shocked (looks like plastic or rubber or something, at least not comfortable to wear!)... But it got a lot better! I saved nearly the complete collection to my PC. I love the tights (which were leggins actually!) and the colorfoul dresses and skirts. The sculpturality of the platform shoes (although I hardly wear heels, maybe I'll collect them one day!?) the palstic/rubber like looking huge (!) handbags (for tall people!) . Later I'll post some backstage pictures!!!

Roberto Cavalli

Hhm. I haven't been invited to the oscars yet, but if my invitation arrives the next days and I would have to wear something by Roberto Cavalli I'd call Roberto to give me one of those dresses. I somehow loved the glamourours Rock-chique of the dress the black model (who is she?) wore.

I've found Tom Scott...

| |

...via picky picks pics and like her I can't believe that I missed him until today! The pictures here posted show my wish-to-haves for the spring/summer 2007 season.
I somehow feel that my summer wouldn't be the same without that grey dress and the black one and the trousers... ;-(
Tom Scott seems to be New York City based which is very nice for him but not for me since there's no information on his website about shops and retailers in europe. So if you know a shop shipping to europe or even a "real" shop in Germany (that would be perfect!) please tell me and make my summer 2007! (Now I'm even more curious what Ann Demeulemeester will show in Paris next week!).

Bill Viola...

| |

...is one of the reasons why I went to artschool. And this work by Jym Davis very much reminds me off Bill Viola's work.

Visit Jym on myspace

I'm going to be director of the moma one day...

21.02.2007 | |

well, maybe. I'm leaving art school this summer and my father is afraid that I won't find a job, because "artists are impoverished". Actually I'm not an artist, but an art theorist and on my way to become the next moma director, latest since I read about Glenn Lowry's (the moma director) salary of $1.3m and the benefit of $5.4m he received lately. Not too bad, isn't it!?
Why does the rumor of poor artists and unemployed art historians persits? It's true that there're a lot of creatives struggling with jobs, money, success but that's because of ideology (you want to do your thing as an artist and not sell yourself to the industry. Sometimes it might also be disqualification) and not of disinterest on the part of the society/economy...
I can hardly imagine another field where prices rise faster unto such unbelievable hights than in the artworld. Let's see what the newly established gulf art fair in dubai will bring.
It's all about money, money, money. It's fashionable to collect art it's cool, hip, whatever - just take a look at art basel and art basel miami beach. No news to you I guess!
If you have the looks, the guts and a little(!) theoretical background you can make it (probably not long, but long enough to make a fortune!).
I really don't know what to think about this hype. I enjoy the fairs, the parties and the people, but somehow still am an academic with academic background and knowledge which a lot of people seem to lack in this game (but keep talking as if they had). What will happen to my little gallery when I keep beeing idealistic, keep curating little theoratically based exhibitions without the ostensible intention of selling art!?

There're other things besides Fashionweek(s) happening right now. Since fashion and art are the things that interessting me the most, I'll limit it to the artworld. They show very nice art and are very nice people!

Bottega Veneta
Backstage at Bottega Veneta - much more interessting than on the runway, I think! Models hanging around, hugging - as usual - pretty Heidi-like Hairstyles (I always think of Heide when I see braids like that, although the Heidi living in the alps somehow didn't have a braid!).
See the whole collection here.

Prada

Hhm. Let's keep it to the details! The cluth bags are very practical since you don't have to hold them. They're "glued" to your hand. The socks-thing is also a cool (warming) alternative to the sockless trend in winter. Lara Stone has "tights" on her head (that's how I go to bed every night to make my hair look sleek in the morning) and Olga Sherer looks nice in her own outfit (although jeans in boots).

Jil Sander aw 2007

| |

Raf Simons is a genius. His understandig of fashion is highly artistic and very much in the sense of the 1960s and 1970s unterstanding of art as conceptualistic and minimalistic.
I love the clean cuts and sculpural accessories (bags and shoes nothing else (!) it's like carrying an artpiece around) - pure and clean but always with a little twist (hair knots!).
Also the Make-up is nude-like: Powdered lips, pale skin; And no black models (as if they wouldn't fit into the concept - which I (beeing half-black myself!) totally understand in a conceptual way.
See the whole collection here.

burberry prorsum aw 2007

20.02.2007 | |

Well normally I ♥ what Christopher Bailey does for Burberry. This time I really don't like the coat and jacket based women's collection he created for autumn/winter 2007. BUT I ♥ the men's stuff shown in yesterday's show! I really have to force my boyfriend to purchase some items for next autumn/winter!!!

Some of the women's items have been quite nice after all. Especially the shoes, although their style isn't really innovative, but anyway...
See the whole collection here.

Do I have an affection to grey or are next season's colours grey, (electric) blue, black. Again? Nothing I would complain about (Behati Prinsloo backstage looks really nice, actually!).

Fasching, Fastnacht, Karneval...

| |

People in the US dress up on halloween and people in europe (and everywhere else catholicism is predominant) on carnival. In Germany Cologne and Duesseldorf are the karneval-hotspots (luckyly I'm going to cologne and duesseldorf on thursday, when everything is over!).
I'm really not into this dressing-up-thing, since for most of the carnivalists the party is just about getting drunk and bully around. Nevertheless the parades are really worth a look sometimes, because nothing is sacred at german carnival.
If I would dress up, my dog would also have to, like the twe ones shown above. I especially love the spider costume!

Am I going to write about Britney Spears?

19.02.2007 | |

No I'm not, not really! But her latest activities inspired me to write someting about bald heads (or at least very short hair!) in fashion, film and commercials. A famous and good example from the model world is Alek Wek which I pretty much like (she reminds me very much of my aunt from philadelphia, although she's not that tall). I loved Demi Moore and her "hair" style in GI Jane (I've never seen that movie!) and Natalie Portman's Bald head in V for Vendetta. These two women have perfectly shaped heads and the figure you need to look good without hair. Nothing Britney has, sorry! Loose weight, get the attitude and start rocking like these women:

Here you'll find more bald headed women in the movies and this video is about models without hair in the 90s (sorry for the bad quality!):

And if you're really into shaving your/the head just search on youtube and you'll find plenty of peolpe who're into the same!

What's wrong with the models nowadays?

| |

I've just read this article by Anna Bayle (via fashionologie) which really got me thinking. Although I believe that there're still modelling icons on today's runways like Iekeliene Stange, Daiane Conterato, Agyness Deyn, Coco Rocha just to name a few...
When I grew up - which was in the 90s - and wanted to be a model (sometimes) I thought of women (!) like Naomi, Christy, Cindy, Linda, Tatjana... I though "are my legs already as long as those of Nadja Auermann?" Today I just don't know how long the legs of Suvi Koponen, the 18year old finnish model, are (just that they're unacceptably thin!) and maybe I don't wanna know. Why should I, is anyone going to talk about her in 4 years? Then she'll be 22 and an old woman!?
Models have become "generic," "nondescript," and "disposable", shows are "boring and robot-like" that's what Anna Bayle says. There're so many aspects which form a commercial, fast changing, always available (and if not, replaceble - there're tons of eastern europan beauties (!) waiting to do "it" for nothing in hope for a better and succesful life, hanging around bored backstage!) something (imagine Naomi starting her carrer with her present attitudes today. Too late once and noone would ever hear of her again!) which reflects today's society.
Business is rough nowadays! I know why I stick to the artworld. Not less rough but it doesn't have so much to do with age and heigt!

I love this car

18.02.2007 | |

The Datsun 240z (1969) is my dreamcar (orange-coloured, please!). Unfortunately I'm driving this Renault Clio right now (not the one shown in the photo, but same type and colour!). I love the woman's styling on the Datsun photo - not really but it's somehow "appealing" don't you think?

Liane Lang

16.02.2007 | |

I bet you can't spot what's wrong! British artist Liane Lang who'll have a show at the Heidelberger Kunstverein in april works at the interface of photography and sculpture. Nothing in her pictures is real. The sculptures which are quite famous ( I guess you've already noticed...) are moulds and the women in the pictures are wax figures. Quite scary!? I remember my fist visit to Londons Madam Tussauds' as a child. Since then to me wax figures always are scary.

aftershock magazine

Via Diane Pernet I discoverd aftershock magazine today. Very simple website - which I love - and profound content. Very well done. I'm looking forward to number two! Esp. the second article called Revolt into Style: Images of West German "Terrorism" from 1968 to 1977 is very up-to-date, since the discussion about releasing the "terrorists" from prison after more than 20 years is going on in Germany these days.

the ultimate babydoll

I've bought this H&M dress last friday. My brother - whom I met in Frankfurt - frowned, my father - whom I met on saturday - asked me if I was pregnant and didn't tell him.

Actually I had Gucci Westman's styling on NYC fashion week backstage (can't remember which show it was, do you?) in mind when I bought the dress. I love to wear it and already wore it twice and even my boyfriend likes it, can you imagine!? Today I wore the dress with black Hunter rubber boots since it's raining non stop for about a week now (as much as I love my wellies, I'm longing for my flats or suede boots...)! Besides the rubber boots I kept it simple, as usual. Black tights, a black blouse (buttoned up) and a long black cardigan. The coat is by stefanel.

Have you ever been to St.Georgen? I have!

| |

Yesterday. My documentation is now online. I've also worked on the documentation of some other exhibitions I've seen this year . Please have a look at my exhibition archive, now linked to f&art. My "real" website will also be online soon. There you'll find information about what I do when I'm not online - besides, eating, sleeping and shopping ;-)

St. Georgen is a little town somewhere in the middle of nowhere (Blackforest in the south of Germany). I got there by train and it took hours but the countryside was quite impressive! The Graesslin family got wealthy by manufacturing clockdevices. In the 80s the four children Bärbel, Thomas, Sabine and Carola started to continue the art collection their parents had started, but with a much more contemporary approach. They're all somehow connected to the artworld. Bärbel Grässlin runs a gallery in Frankfurt. Sabine Grässlin is the owner of the restaurant Kippys, named after Martin Kippenberger who used to live in St. Georgen for quite some time. Carola Grässlin is the director of the Kunsthalle Baden-Baden.

Although they're quite international, the collection never left St. Georgen as a whole. They've built an exhibition hall and use vacant shops to exhibit their treasures. Please have a closer look at their website.

Thomas Grässlin (who wears suspenders!) and his very Pradaesque (bag, boots, coat and scarf (miumiu)) wive guided us through St. Georgen which was very very interessting although it rained all the time (I wore my Hunters!).

Please visit my deocumentation here.

Happy Valentine

...and happy birthday to my boyfriend's mother.
Actually he's still asleep so I don't know what I'll get. I bought a book and flowers (I prefer tulips to roses!) this morning and found an antler hanging on the wall when I returned from St. Georgen yesterday evening. Kind of strange isn't it? I buy the flowers he's hunting the deer? Actually he bought it on ebay - the antler!

London Fashion week part 01

Since beeing up to date in the art AND in the fashion world is a fulltime job (and I have lots of other things to do) I'm always a little bit late with my comments on the new collections. I hope you don't mind, if you're even interessted!? You'll find the really interessting behind-the-scene stuff on style bubble anyway.
Well...

Duro Olowu
Some of you already knwo that my mother's from Nigeria and so is Duro Olowu and that's why his prints instantly reminded me of those huge traditional dresses my mother has in her wardrobe and which fascinated me since my childhood. I love seeing african inspired fashion on the runways. February's German Vogue had an editorial called African Art featuring some really nice clothes for spring and summer. Please give me more stuff like that.

Erdem
I didn't like the whole collection that much, but I somehow felt attracted to this coat.

Peter Jensen

Nothing I would actually wear but fun to look at. I would be totally impressed if a women wearing a piece of the Peter Jensen aw 07 collection would cross my way. Guess I would be impressed if she'd wear anything of Peter Jensen. I love him, but I somehow wouldn't wear him (the same with Yohji Yamamoto!).

Todd Lynn
Boyish and somehow too boyisch for me to wear. But I loved this two pieces and especially the leather jacket!

NYC Fashion week part 05

13.02.2007 | |

Although London Fashion week has already started I still have something to say about NYC's.

Lela Rose
Lela Rose "caught the current mood for sportswear, cutting glorified sweatshirts in cashmere and tossing in menswear fabrics for an extra edge". Very lovely!

Réyes

José Ramón Réyes' collection is very much 80s and sportswear inspired. I pretty much love that. Not to mention that the 80s are part of my (master) thesis. MORE.

Sari Gueron

Very unspectacular and that's what I love about it! Sari Gueron just prefers to make the kind of cool, unstudied clothes that girls clamor to wear. MORE.

United Bamboo

Thuy Pham and Miho Aoki were thinking about architecture...
Well I wasn't but I liked some of their pieces anyway. MORE

Calvin Klein
This is worth a video! I very much loved the dresses and the minimalistic make up. Clean cuts, huge collars, no colours, just different shades of grey, well fitted dresses, oversized coats and ponytails. Brilliant!

That's all for this season. Please keep in mind that this is always a personal selection by things I would wear and buy, so no professional or critical view at all! Alle the other lovely pieces are shown on style.com. Enjoy!
Let's see what's going on in London...

Monday was a lucky day (since I didn't enjoy sunday's shows at all...)! The critics are hoping for some deviation from the schoolgirl theme in the future, I'm not!

Jill Stuart

has this electric blue combined with black which I pretty much love in her collection. There was I time when people tend to tell me that blue and black weren't ment to be worn together! Can you believe it? I love this onepiece ballet tricot thing, which Sienna and Lindsey have been lynchend for! MORE.

Marc Jacobs
Personally I didn't like Marc Jacob's fall collection (quite disappointing!). Although I don't want to participate in the weight debate I think that most of the models are far too thin for that kind of fashion quote! The women in the 1920s have been thin, but not that thin. Some models didn't even have a waist to put the belts on. Sorry. Best of: Iekeliene and Rachel Feinstein (=hate love). see the whole collection here.

Marchesa
So what am I going to wear to the oscars? Black or white? VERY dramatic. Look at those clavicles! MORE.

Naeem Khan

Well Beyoncé is going to wear Naeem Khan for the oscars, isn't she. My favourites are the short dresses for the slim legs ♥

what does fart mean?

07.02.2007 | |

Today an anonymous reader pointed out that "fart" has a certain meaning to americans, which I apparantly didn't know...
Quite the contrary!

When I started this blog:
Boyfriend: I don't know if I like that title...
Maret: Why?
Boyfriend: It's too stupid to be funny. "F&art" just sounds indecent, primitive, childish.
Maret: So what? At least it's much more handy than fashion&art. Don't you think?
Boyfriend: Hhm.
Maret: It also expresses my opinion about the topic!
Boyfriend: Hhm?
Maret: It's all just a fart!
Boyfriend: You don't do anything else than f&art!
Maret: So what? I love to fart!
Boyfriend: This conversation is getting stupid!
Maret: You shouldn't be so serious!

NYC Fashion week part 02

04.02.2007 | |

Karen Walker
Personally I enjoyed Karen Walker's (New Zealand) collection the most. The shape of the trousers, the dresses, the hats, the glasses, masculine and feminine elements a touch of the 1940s combined with 1980s Nylon and Neon colours. Although I wouldn't wear a single piece I guess. MORE.

Alexander Wang
Since I love my legs (YES!) I love showing them and I love fashion which emphasises long slim legs and so does Alexander Wang's collection. Short (short!) skirts, short dresses, slim trousers. Mostly grey, black, some blue and white. Nothing really avantgarde, but wearable. Somehow 80s hip hop somehow chique. MORE.

Alice Roi
Alice Roi is very innocent this season, but not too innocent, something always seems to be hidden. Some girls look outgrown as if they aren't that childish anymore... Alice Roy is said to be inspired by "the spunky children's book heroine" Madeline. Result is a much darker version of that little cartoon schoolgirl.

Threeasfor
Threeasfour have some nice dresses in their fall 07 collection!

And please have a look at Toni Maticevkis's collection, especially at the shoes, boots (?)...

H&M shopping list

03.02.2007 | |

Although I'm totally broke (that's no news!) I'm planning a little shopping trip to my local H&M (well I drive there by bike in 10 minutes!). Unfortunately they haven't got a "TREND" dep. that's why I'll maybe wait until tuesday when I'm going to be in Stuttgart. I'm undec., as usual. Anyway... But I'm not undecided at all when it comes to my spring wardrobe. Dresses, dresses, dresses, dresses, maybe some skirts but definitely no trousers (well, maybe some (highwaisted) short...). Flats, Boots, Platforms, tights, jazzshoes. I get a lot of inspiration from these two swedish girls lately.

NYC Fashion week part 01

| |

Well. Finally some pictures are up on the mercedes benz fashion week page. The very impatient fashion victims can search them on getty.com right after the show. Journalists are so fast these days!

BCBG Max Azria
First interessting show in my opinion was the one of the bcbg max azria collection. Very very much my kind of style. A bit grungy, romantic, girlish, feminine all at once. No pants just tights, dresses, coats, beanies. Lovely! The colours: Just perfect! I especially loved the shoes! Examine them more closely on style.com.

Yigal Azrouel

Second highlight of the day was the collection by israelian designer Yigal Azrouel. Layered jersey pieces and a few precision A-line dresses in heavy fabrics. Although the critics aren't absolutely convinced these items are stuff I (would) wear!

O.k. let's see what's up today!

Kristen Bell wears Miu Miu

| |

I've posted a picture of Kristen Bell wearing a Beanie a couple of days ago. But two of my readers were more attracted to her coat. Throughout the friendly help of nicole I've spotted the coat in Miu Miu's fall 06 collection. It looks so different on Kristen, maybe better? The model (Danijela Dimitrovska) looks somehow outgrown although this is definitely the way it has to look like ( I believe Muiccia knows what she's doing). Anyway most of my clothes I'm looking outgrown in too, because I'm more the height of Danijela than Kristen.

How to wear...

| |

...rubber boots (or wellies, that's how they're called in britain (only?)). Sam from style diary asked me how I'm planning to wear my new hunters. I wear them a lot and I even wear them when it's not raining. They are just too comfy. I feel "british", uncomplicated but somehow well dressed at once. Since I'm a skirt girl I wear them with skirts most of the time. I felt very inspired by this Japanese girl in the yellow coat. I found her picture on Street Fashion photo | Tokio via picky picky pics (which is a very nice blog by the way!).

Items in my pictures: 1. black Hunter wellies | mostly brown striped skirt (Zara) | brown fur vest (vintage) | blue slim woolen longsleve (Mango) | white scarf (H&M) - 2. black Hunter wellies | Tartan coloured skirt (H&M) | same blue longsleve as before | black short jacket (H&M) | same scarf as before.

Also very nice are the Hunter styling suggestions of uniqlo.com.
More pictures coming soon...
